Other Walks within easy reach from Kintyre Peninsula

The Cowal Way
The main walk is a 57-mile way from Portavadie on Loch Fyne in the West to Inveruglas on Loch Lomond in the East.

Isle of Arran Coastal Way
Ferries from Tarbert to Arran run from end of March to end October.

The Coastal Way of the Isle of Arran provides both low level walks and continuous walking around the coast of Arran. Walkers can now use a route around Arran's coastline in all weather conditions, that passes through most of the villages on the island.

The Three Lochs Way
Linking towns and villages on the west side of Loch Lomond between Balloch and Inveruglas, the Three Lochs Way is a gentle, mainly low level, 50 kilometre route which can easily be walked in 3 to 4 days. The route also offers lots of attractive and interesting options for people seeking shorter day walks and with some great downhill sections, mountainbikers will enjoy the Way too.

The West Island Way
The West Island Way was Scotland's first long distance island footpath. It was developed and opened in 2000 as part of Bute's events to celebrate the millenium. The path is 30 miles of waymarked walking which runs from south to north and takes in track, moor, forest and coastal walking.
